1. Introduction
AntiMatter AV ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our antivirus application on Windows, Android, and our web services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- • Email address (for account registration)
- • Name and company (optional, for business accounts)
- • License key (provided during activation)
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- • Device or other IDs — Device identifier (Android ID / hardware ID) is collected and transmitted to our server for license binding, trial registration, and device authentication. This identifier is used solely to ensure each license key is bound to a single, authorized device.
- • Precise location (GPS) — Collected only when the parent-initiated "Smart Parenting" child safety feature is explicitly enabled by the user. Location coordinates (latitude, longitude) are transmitted to our server for remote monitoring by the parent/guardian via the cloud dashboard. Location tracking is completely optional and inactive by default.
- • Operating system type and version
- • Device type (mobile/desktop)
- • Application version number
- • Definition version and last update timestamp
- • Threat detection counts (number of threats found, not file contents)
- • Scan status (last scan date, scan type)
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- • No file contents — all scanning is performed locally on your device
- • No passwords — only bcrypt hashes stored server-side
- • No browsing history — web guard processes URLs locally
- • No keystroke data
- • No financial or payment card data
3. How We Use Your Information
- License validation and device management
- Delivering virus definition updates
- Improving threat detection accuracy
- Providing parental controls features (with explicit consent only)
- Customer support and account management
- Legal compliance and security incident response

- Threat statistics: Anonymized after 180 days
- Location data: 30-day rolling retention (parental controls only)
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PIPL), you have the right to:
To exercise these rights, contact support@antimatterav.com or write to us at the address in Section 10.

8. Children's Privacy
AntiMatter AV parental controls features are designed to help parents protect their children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) without parental consent. The parental controls feature requires explicit activation by the account holder.
9. Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of all personal data we hold about you. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will permanently delete the following data from our servers:
- Your device identifier (Android ID / HWID) and all license binding records
- Any license key activation history
- Location data (if Smart Parenting was enabled)
- Trial registration records
- Account data (email, name, company) if applicable
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1 — Email: Send a request to support@antimatterav.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your account or your device's license key.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
VPN Service & Network Proxy Usage Declaration
Why does AntiMatter AV use a VPN Service / Local
Proxy?
AntiMatter AV utilizes OS-level network primitives—Android’s VpnService API,
Apple's NetworkExtension API, and the Windows Filtering Platform (WFP)—to power
our core networking security feature: Web Traffic Shield (Web Guard).
The service is used strictly as a local loopback filter (Split-tunnel local proxy) to seamlessly monitor and block malicious DNS requests before they can resolve to your device. This protects users against phishing websites, malware distribution networks, and adult content (for parental controls).
Data Collection, Encryption, and Routing
- Local Filtering Only: The network proxy operates 100% locally on the device. We do NOT route your internet traffic through external or remote proxy servers.
- DNS Only: The tunnel targets exclusively DNS traffic (Port 53) to verify domain resolution against known security blacklists. Regular HTTP/HTTPS and TCP/UDP traffic completely bypass the local tunnel and connect directly to the internet through your normal ISP or WiFi.
- No Personal Data Collection (No Logs): We do not collect, store, transmit, or monetize your web browsing history, payloads, personal conversations, or network traffic data. Activity is verified instantly on the device and discarded.
- User Control: The Service is completely optional and inactive by default. It is only started when the user explicitly taps "Enable Web Shield" and accepts the standard OS authorization prompt (Android VPN prompt, macOS/iOS Proxy authorization, or Windows UAC).
Summary of Multi-Platform Store Compliance
- Google Play: We do not manipulate app traffic from
other apps for monetization purposes. We use the
VpnServicestrictly for Device Security and Parental Controls. - Apple (App Store): We utilize localized
NetworkExtension(NEPacketTunnelProvider or Content Filter) strictly for providing on-device internet safety and parental controls, adhering strictly to App Store Review Guideline 5.4. - Microsoft Store: We utilize native Windows DNS and proxy configurations solely to secure endpoint networking against malicious domains without tracking end-user telemetry.
